It’s going to be a beautiful June day in Minnesota. My father would have been 99 today. He’s not here anymore, but he feels as present to me as he ever has. I still think about calling him at happy hour on Sundays to talk about golf, the stock market, his dog and the Packers.
This morning, i was reading War and Peace (lots of stuff about fathers in that one!) and I was working on a couple short stories that, not so coincidentally, featured fathers and sons.
Also, there are a couple of good, recent podcasts about fathers and sons but I’m listening to Tom Junod on Paternal podcast #140. About his charismatic, but deeply flawed father.
